Job summary

Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands Corporation in Hyannis, MA is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist per diem to help patients regain function and independence. You will evaluate patients, set goals, and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctor of Physical Therapy and Massachusetts licensure. Prior internship/1–2 years of experience preferred, with competency in EMR and patient/family communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required; Master's or DPT preferred.
• Massachusetts license required.
• Experience 1–2 years preferred; internship or supervised clinical practice counts.

Responsibilities

• Completes billing sheet accurately by end of day.
• Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to maximize benefit.
• Performs patient assessment and establishes a plan of care.
• Provides in-service education programs for nursing personnel as needed.
• Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
• Discusses evaluation, goals and treatment with patient and family.
• Participates in hospital-wide quality process improvement.
• Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
• Supervises PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations.
