Job summary

Charles River Recovery in Weston, MA is seeking a Group Facilitator to plan, develop and deliver group therapy for patients in PHP and IOP. The role inspires clients to develop recovery tools using evidence-based approaches and person-centered care.

The position is per diem (as needed) with a $200/day rate, requiring a Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling and licensure (LADC II or CADC). Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of diverse cultures and gender-specific issues and ability to incorporate needs of diverse groups.
• Maintains confidentiality with patients, residents, families and others.
• Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and services for substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Group Therapy daily to patients with innovative modalities.
• Evaluate clients’ mental health and readiness for treatment.
• Document services in EMR system.
• Communicate effectively within the team about patient status.
• Help clients develop skills to recover from addiction.
• Identify behaviours that interfere with recovery.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
