Job summary

The Pines at Placerville is seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. You will evaluate residents, create individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to enhance mobility, independence, and safety.

New grads are encouraged to apply, and you will supervise COTAs and aides while contributing to care conferences and education. Competitive hourly pay is offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in California.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• New Grads encouraged to apply!
• CPR Certification if required by licensure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with Net Health and PointClickCare is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Help residents improve mobility, strength, balance, ADLs, and independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Supervise COTAs, aides, and students.
• Participate in care conferences and rehab meetings.
• Educate residents and caregivers on safety, fall prevention, adaptive equipment, and home programs.
• Recommend assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
• Maintain timely and compliant documentation; provide staff education and in-services.
• Support quality improvement and restorative nursing programs.
