Job summary

The Pines at Placerville in Placerville, CA is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a per diem basis to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. You will provide direct resident treatment under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and help residents improve independence with daily living activities.

We welcome new graduates and offer a supportive, collaborative rehab environment with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Current California COTA license in good standing.
• CPR certification if required by licensure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• New grads encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident treatment under OT supervision.
• Help residents improve independence with daily living activities and mobility.
• Maintain timely and compliant documentation.
• Assist with restorative nursing programs and staff education.
• Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, physicians, residents, and families.
• Participate in care conferences and rehab meetings.
• Educate residents and caregivers on safety, home programs, and fall prevention.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices to support independence.
• Maintain a safe and positive treatment environment.
• Support quality improvement and rehabilitation initiatives.
