Job summary

The Pines at Placerville is seeking a compassionate Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community in California. You’ll evaluate residents, develop personalized treatment plans, and work with an interdisciplinary team to restore independence.

Responsibilities include mobility and ADL training, supervision of COTAs and students, and ongoing education for residents and families. The role offers a flexible schedule and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in California.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• New Graduates encouraged to apply.
• CPR Certification if required by licensure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Help residents improve mobility, strength, balance, ADLs and independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, families and the interdisciplinary team.
• Supervise COTAs, aides, and students.
• Participate in care conferences and rehab meetings.
• Educate residents and caregivers on safety, fall prevention and home programs.
• Maintain timely and compliant documentation.
• Provide staff education and in-services.
