Job summary

Arbor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a committed Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our therapy team on a Per Diem (PRN) basis. The OTA will provide rehabilitation services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence and function.

The ideal candidate holds a valid OTA license and has experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities, with strong observation, communication and compassionate patient care skills.

Qualifications

• Valid license to practice occupational therapy
• Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Implements patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Occupational Therapist
• Work with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient
• Acts as an assistant to the Occupational Therapist when the Occupational Therapist is performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures
• Instructs patients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the occupational therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist
