Job summary

The Lakeview Surgery Center in Bowie, MD, part of Prism Vision Group, seeks a Surgical Technician for per diem, onsite work. You will assist the surgeon during procedures, prep the OR, monitor sterile technique, and manage instrument counts to support safe patient care.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, draping, room turnover, and ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for each case. Experience in a fast-paced surgical setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Surgical Technician program graduate required.
• Current Surgical Technician certification required.
• Must be detail oriented and well organized.

Responsibilities

• Assists surgeon during all operative procedures and maintains patient comfort.
• Prepares the operating room and equipment for each procedure.
• Monitors sterile technique and aseptic handling throughout cases.
• Performs instrument counts and reports discrepancies to the DON.
• Ensures safe patient positioning, prepping and draping as needed.
• Cleans and restocks room between cases and maintains a clean OR environment.
