Job summary

Prism Vision Group is seeking a Pre/Post Operative Registered Nurse for an onsite role at the Lakeview Surgery Center in Bowie, MD. The RN will provide skilled nursing care, perform pre and post-operative assessments, and support patient education and safety.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year RN experience in ophthalmology, BLS, and a strong emphasis on patient advocacy and documentation. This position is non-exempt and onsite at an ambulatory surgery center within Prism Vision Group.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• 1+ year of RN experience in ophthalmology preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS requested but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient status through observation and interaction.
• Perform pre and post-operative assessments and patient monitoring.
• Maintain patient education and continuity of care.
• Document medical records accurately and timely.
• Adhere to infection control and safety practices.
• Communicate with the care team to coordinate patient care.
