Job summary

Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center, a Prime Healthcare facility in Garden Grove, CA, is seeking a Staff RN for the perioperative/operating room. The role reports to the OR Charge Nurse and Director of Surgical Services, and involves delivering direct and indirect patient care across neonatal to older adult patients.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, guiding OR staff, adhering to hospital policies, and participating in Performance Improvement

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training.
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting.
• Coordinate the care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Direct and guide the OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
• Work with other departments to provide a continuum of care and unit maintenance.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
