Job summary

Garden City Hospital is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide perioperative care within a state-of-the-art facility. Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist and direct the OR Technician and other personnel.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing and ensure efficient patient flow.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
