Job summary

Garden City Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for perioperative care in the operating room. You will work with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure safe, high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process.

The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for diverse patient populations. Requirements include an active RN license, BLS, and perioperative experience; CNOR, ACLS, and PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire.
• Minimum of one year perioperative experience.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting.
• Coordinate care with surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Direct OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining standards.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
