Job summary

Amistad Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LLC seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will provide person-centered OT services under an OT's supervision to support resident independence and quality of life.

Requirements include a valid Texas OTA license and COTA credential. Prior SNF or long-term care exposure is preferred, with familiarity in Net Health EDS a plus.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas OTA license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OT treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide OT services under supervision of an Occupational Therapist per physician orders.
• Relay information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist as needed.
• Ensure treatments align with the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to treatments and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely per policy and regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.
