Job summary

Cedarmanorcare is seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team in Texas. The OTA will provide person-centered care and support residents to improve independence and quality of life on a PRN basis.

Responsibilities include delivering OT treatments under supervision, coordinating with the OT, and ensuring documentation complies with regulations. Strong teamwork and communication are essential in this role, with in-house rehab advantages and flexible

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license is required.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled OT services under supervision of an Occupational Therapist per physician orders.
• Relay information and referrals to the OT for service requests.
• Ensure treatments align with the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely per policy and regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.
