Job summary

Aviara Healthcare Center in Encinitas seeks an experienced Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, and help improve mobility and independence within physician-guided protocols. You will supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, educate families, and participate in care conferences while maintaining compliant documentation and infection control.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in OT, state licensure, CPR certification if required, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy; masters/doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state; CPR may be required.
• Proficiency with Net Health and PointClickCare software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs and rehab potential as ordered.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in resident care per state practice act.
• Communicate progress with physicians, families, and the care team; participate in care conferences.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in medical records.
