Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, and procure equipment and supplies.
• Review patient care documentation for significant changes and report promptly to a nurse or physician.
• Provide clerical tasks including organizing workload, greeting visitors, reviewing and transcribing orders, and maintaining medical records.
• Provide clinical support including transporting patients, stocking supplies, and assisting in orientation of new employees and students.
• Reinforce routine patient education and distribute educational materials to patients and families.
