The Miriam Hospital seeks a Nursing Assistant to support patient care from admission to discharge under RN supervision. Per diem, day shifts, and on-site work at Providence, RI are offered.

Responsibilities include personal care, basic nursing tasks, and accurate documentation in the EHR. Must have RI Nursing Assistant license and BLS certification; prior hospital experience is favored.

Formación

• Must obtain professional license within 15 days of hire.
• Hands-on patient contact must be supervised by a licensed RN.
• Current Rhode Island license as a Nursing Assistant.
• High school graduate or its equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform basic computer skills.
• Certified in American Heart Association BLS.
• Demonstrates knowledge to care for patients across the life span.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Support nursing team with basic nursing assistant duties as outlined by RI Dept. of Health.
• Help patients with ambulation and rehabilitation activities.
• Maintain a safe environment and report unsafe conditions and equipment needs.
• Communicate patient observations to the RN for timely care.
• Document nursing data accurately in the EHR and care flowsheets.
