Brown University Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for per diem shifts at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. Under RN supervision, you will provide essential patient care from admission to discharge, following hospital policies and Rhode Island licensing rules.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, reporting observations, maintaining safety, and documenting in the EHR. Requires RI Nursing Assistant license within 15 days of hire and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Rhode Island Nursing Assistant license within 15 days of hire.
• Hands-on patient contact must be supervised by a licensed RN.
• Current Rhode Island Nursing Assistant license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform basic computer skills.
• Certified in American Heart Association BLS.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with RN to organize work and set priorities.
• Perform personal care and basic nursing assistant tasks as outlined by RI regulations.
• Assist with rehabilitation activities and activities of daily living.
• Maintain safe environment and report unsafe conditions or equipment issues.
• Communicate patient observations to the RN promptly.
• Follow infection control and documentation procedures; may serve as a patient observer.
