Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care across Orange County locations. You will take vitals, assist with hygiene, and help maintain a safe unit environment while coordinating with licensed staff.

The ideal candidate holds a CNA/LVN or is enrolled in a nursing program with clinical experience and has current BLS certification. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in basic medical terminology.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
• Attendance of approved workplace violence training within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff by taking and recording vital signs and supporting patient hygiene and elimination.
• Maintain a clean, safe unit environment and stock supplies.
• Operate hospital equipment as directed and perform routine clerical tasks.
• Assist with other duties as assigned to support patient care.
