Job summary

Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Nurse Assistant for the Med Surg/Telemetry team. This per diem role supports the Registered Nurse by assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patients, and helping maintain a safe environment in a non-critical setting.

Requirements include a current CNA certificate, BLS within 30 days, knowledge of medical terminology, and at least six months’ acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe environment and monitor patients in Med Surg/Telemetry.
• Support nursing team with supplies and patient comfort.
