Job summary

VillageMD seeks a per diem Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare and inject radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging and perform cardiac nuclear studies. You will assist physicians, ensure safety and QA, and maintain accurate documentation. Travel to satellite offices is required as needed.

Required ARRT and CNMT credentials, IV certification, and BLS. The role emphasizes English communication and precise adherence to NRC regulations within a patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS certification required; ARRT and CNMT required.
• Ability to perform nuclear medicine procedures and inject radiopharmaceuticals.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and injects radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging per NRC regulations and policy.
• Measures concentrations of radioactive isotope in body areas to aid radiologists.
• Performs cardiac nuclear studies including stress MUGA, Thallium and Tc studies.
• Assists physician with procedures as required and reports findings promptly.
• Maintains QA/assurance and compliance with SMG, NRC, and EPA standards.
• Archives images and prepares preliminary reports for cardiologist review.
• Travels to satellite offices as needed to perform studies.
