Job summary

NYU Langone Health's NYU Grossman School of Medicine seeks a Per Diem-Nuclear Med Technician (FGP) to perform medically prescribed nuclear medicine procedures under general direction. The role emphasizes patient assessment, safety, and coordination with physicians.

The position requires an Associate's Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology, NY state license in Nuclear Medicine, ARRT-N or NMTCB certification, and a strong commitment to quality care.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Must have NYS Radiologic Technologist License in Nuclear Medicine.
• ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB Certification.

Responsibilities

• Operates HIS/RIS to manage nuclear medicine workflows and ensure HIPAA-compliant data handling.
• Assess patients and prepare them for imaging while maintaining comfort and privacy.
• Prepare radiopharmaceutical doses and ensure accurate dose calculations.
• Document all quality control procedures and report results to physicians.
