New York State Radiologic Technologist License in Nuclear Medicine is required.
ARRT-N or NMTCB certification required; renewal per governing bodies.
BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

Verify patient identity and review orders for accuracy.
Explain procedures clearly and obtain consent when required.
Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety.
Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform imaging per established protocols.
Monitor patients during procedures and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies.
Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment (gamma cameras, related systems).
Acquire, process, and evaluate diagnostic images for quality and completeness.
Format, archive, and transmit imaging data to PACS with proper anatomical presentation.
Maintain logs and documentation of procedures, doses, and disposal.
