Job summary

MultiCare is seeking a Staff RN to join a hospital-based team in Tacoma. This role emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach and support for professional development as the organization grows into a best-in-class nursing system.

Position includes 12-hour night shifts with alternating weekends. Minimum 1 year ED experience strongly preferred; new graduates should apply to residency or fellowship programs. Licensure and BLS required, with ACLS/PALS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington State or MLS endorsement (or eligible).
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS/PALS/NALS or TNCC as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating nursing care.
• Deliver care using the nursing process in line with hospital policies and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost effectiveness.
• Foster a learning environment for patients, families, and health care staff.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care respecting diverse backgrounds.
