Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Staff RN to join the hospital-based team at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA. The role involves delivering individualized patient care, participating in a multidisciplinary approach and supporting a best-in-class nursing environment.

The position emphasizes professional development, collaboration with colleagues, and adherence to nursing standards and hospital policies. A flexible schedule with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or obtained within five years from date of hire.
• Advanced nursing degree (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred.
• RN license in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL).
• Current BLS Certification required.
• ACLS or NALS or PALS or TNCC or NRP certification, as required by facility or department.
• Certification in specialty area preferred.
• One year of experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis.
• Use nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience and cost management.
• Foster a learning environment for patients/families and staff.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care respecting diverse backgrounds.
