Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking a per diem Emergency Department Registered Nurse for night shifts in Reno, NV. The role combines clinical and managerial duties, including staff collaboration and communication with physicians, Nurse Manager, and Director to monitor patient status and treatment responses.

The RN will impact patient care by performing assessments, coordinating care, and participating in staff hiring while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2 years ED experience required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current BCLS certification.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• PALS within six months of hire.
• ENPC and TNCC optional

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and adjust nursing plans to optimize outcomes.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments across patient populations.
• Assess and manage pain and educate patients and families.
• Apply triage to prioritize care and assign categories
