NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital is seeking a Per Diem MSW Social Worker to provide psychosocial assessments, counseling, and discharge planning under supervision. The role includes coordinating with the care team and supervising social work interns.

The position requires a Master's in Social Work and LMSW licensure or NYS limited permit, with experience in hospital settings. Strong communication and patient-family education are essential; flexible, per diem scheduling is offered.

Formación

• Master's Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
• LMSW licensure or NYS Education Department-issued limited permit.
• Coursework or training in identification and reporting of child abuse as per Education Law.

Responsabilidades

• Performs psychosocial assessments and evaluations and develops discharge plans.
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary team to create social work treatment plans.
• Documents all activities in HIS/outpatient records timely and accurately.
• Participates in supervision and interdisciplinary rounds to support patient care.
