Job summary

Akumin Operating Corp. seeks a PRN MRI Technologist to perform MRI imaging and data acquisition for diagnostic interpretation.

You will ensure high-quality images while adhering to imaging protocols and safety standards, including contrast administration and patient confidentiality. The role requires ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, state licensure where applicable, and 3+ years of technologist experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
• State license, if applicable, required.
• CPR Certification, BLS from AHA or ARC; ACLS where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images per imaging protocols and ARRT/ARMRIT standards.
• Maintain proficiency with various MR equipment and power injection equipment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and staff while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Demonstrate competency in contrast safety and administration (IV, ports, PICC lines as indicated).
• Train and orient new technologists and assistants as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
