Job summary

Endeavor Health in Skokie, IL seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) per diem to evaluate tests, prepare blood components, and perform antibody screening with strict QA. The role requires a biology degree and MLS/MLT certification is preferred. Per diem schedule includes mornings with occasional weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science required.
• MLS or MLT certification preferred.
• Strong foundation in medical laboratory science.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and interpret laboratory test results.
• Process and prepare blood components for transfusions.
• Conduct antibody screening and compatibility testing.
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor inventory of blood products and stock levels.
• Adhere to quality control and quality assurance processes.
• Perform processing of HPC per SOP with sterile technique.
