NorthShore University HealthSystem seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for per diem coverage at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL. The role supports transfusion services and routine clinical testing in a fast-paced lab.

You will evaluate results, prepare blood components, screen antibodies, and maintain equipment while managing inventory and quality processes. New graduates are welcome; MLS/MLT certification is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Science required.
• MLS or MLT certification preferred.
• New graduates welcome.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate and interpret laboratory test results with accurate reporting.
• Process and prepare blood components for transfusions following SOPs.
• Conduct antibody screening and compatibility testing with advanced equipment.
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot as needed to ensure uptime.
• Manage inventory and monitor blood product expiration dates.
• Adhere to quality control/assurance and GMP procedures.
• Perform routine processing and cryopreservation of HPC per SOP.
