It includes teaching responsibilities and potential supervisory duties as needed. Eligibility requires a Bachelor's degree with CLIA qualifications, plus ASCP MLS certification and at least 1 year of Blood Bank experience in a hospital

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and CLIA requirements for moderate to high complexity testing.
Current MLS/MT (ASCP) registration or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year MT/MLS Blood Bank experience in a hospital clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

Performs high complexity and moderate complexity testing as required.
Receives and labels blood/specimens; maintains accurate records.
Performs procedures; records results and notifies supervisor of abnormal findings.
Maintains equipment and reports malfunctions; performs basic troubleshooting.
Participates in quality control and quality assurance programs and documentation.
Assists in training new staff and teaching students or health professionals.
