Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Per Diem Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer. You will perform detailed fetal ultrasound surveys, assist with procedures and prepare comprehensive reports while supporting high-risk pregnancies.

The role requires ARDMS certification or eligibility, solid ultrasound skills, and the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team. Per diem opportunities offer flexibility, ongoing education, and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent.
• Maintain or be eligible for ARDMS certification.
• ARDMS OB/GYN or Fetal Echo certified or eligible to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements.
• NT experience or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys, including twins and triplets.
• Assist physicians with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
• Accurately document exam findings, measurements, images, and procedural details in the ultrasound reporting and image archiving systems.
• Record patient history, indications, and pertinent observations per protocols.
• Generate clear, comprehensive preliminary reports for physician review and final signature.
• Review completed studies with interpreting physicians to communicate findings and support diagnostic accuracy.
