Pediatrix Medical Group in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Per Diem Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to join our team at a busy MFM clinic. The role involves comprehensive obstetric ultrasound, collaboration with perinatologists, and providing preliminary reports.

Per diem schedule offers work-life balance and flexibility. Qualified candidates will have ARDMS credentials or eligibility with OB/GYN or Fetal Echo certification within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited sonography program with degree in ultrasonography or equivalent; 2+ years in allied health or 1+ year on-the-job ultrasonography.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys including twins/triplets.
• Assist with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
• Document findings, measurements, and images in reporting systems.
• Record patient history and indications per protocols.
• Produce clear preliminary reports for interpreting physicians.
• Review studies with physicians to support diagnostic accuracy.
• Maintain equipment, safety standards, and inventory.
• Rotate to other locations to cover absences.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and consent.
