Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. in Conway, SC is seeking a Per Diem Mental Health Technician to support a therapeutic milieu and ensure the direct care, welfare, safety and security of patients with emotional or psychological disorders.

You will work with a treatment team to implement plans and provide crisis intervention as necessary. The role includes escorting patients to activities, transporting them to appointments, de-escalating situations, and ensuring patient needs such as clothing and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year related experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• CPI Certified.
• Must be able to complete 5 day Hospital Orientation.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to work, meals, recreation, and education activities and assist with supervision.
• Transport patients to appointments and monitor safety and security of the facility.
• De-escalate aggression, use active listening, and maintain boundaries to support a positive peer culture.
• Provide clinical support for initial screenings and back up for assessments as needed.
• Ensure patients have clothing, linens and hygiene supplies and supervise hygiene tasks.
