Job summary
Endeavor Health's Evanston Hospital is seeking a Mental Health Associate I to support treatment programs, supervise patients, and encourage participation in activities to promote safety and engagement.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a Behavioral Health field (or a non-behavioral degree with 1 year of behavioral health experience) and CPI/CPR certifications. Per diem schedule with varied shifts offers premium pay and benefits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health or higher.
- Non-Behavioral Health degree with at least 1 year behavioral health experience.
- Maintain information as highly confidential.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and seek supervision.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates didactic, educational and group activities in assigned treatment programs.
- Ensures patient safety with one-to-one supervision and real-time precautions records.
- Orients new patients and provides necessary handoffs.
- Participates in treatment planning with interdisciplinary team.
- Completes patient, program and department documentation.
- Performs clerical and administrative tasks to support operations.
- Monitors and reports patients' progress to charge nurse and families.
