Edward-Elmhurst Health is seeking a Mental Health Associate I for Evanston Hospital. This per diem role supports safety, treatment participation, and educational programming across assigned units.

You will help orient new patients and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on care planning. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field and emphasizes confidentiality, professional boundaries, and supervision-seeking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Behavioral Health related field or higher.
• Maintain information as highly confidential.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and seek supervision.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates didactic, educational and unit/program groups.
• Encourages and facilitates patients’ participation in therapies.
• Supervises patients to ensure safety and involvement in treatment.
• Provides one-to-one supervision to ensure patient safety.
• Orients new patients to unit, program and milieu.
• Participates in treatment planning with interdisciplinary team.
• Completes patient, program, and department documentation.
• Performs clerical and administrative tasks to support operations.
• Monitors patient progress and communicates with charge person and families.
