Job summary

Boston Medical Center seeks a Medical Technologist to perform moderate to high complexity laboratory tests under CLIA 88, interpret results, ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, and timely reporting in LIS, and support other sections as needed.

You will participate in quality control, instrument maintenance, training of staff and students, compliance with safety and HIPAA policies, and collaborate with care teams to deliver accurate, timely results.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of clinical laboratory science and CLIA high-complexity testing.
• Training completed to perform moderate/high complexity tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity tests and interpret results.
• Ensure accurate specimen identification and labeling.
• Review testing procedures for compliance and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform QC procedures and document results.
• Transcribe results into LIS and report critical values.
• Maintain equipment and participate in safety and training.
