Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological, Chemical, Clinical, or Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
• OR qualified as technologist under Medicare/CLIA '67 rules on/before Feb 28, 1992
• ASCP certification may substitute education

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized diagnostic testing in hematology and related areas
• Analyze blood, body fluids, and specimens with precision
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automated and manual instrumentation
• Process specimens with proper handling, labeling, and documentation
• Report results to clinical staff in a timely manner
• Follow lab protocols, QC standards, and regulatory requirements
• Assist with venipuncture and specimen collection
• Apply critical thinking to resolve testing issues and ensure result integrity
• Collaborate with physicians and lab staff
