Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston seeks an experienced laboratory technologist to perform and supervise complex procedures in hematology and chemistry. You will operate and troubleshoot instruments, ensure accuracy and timely reporting of results, and maintain rigorous quality control and documentation.

The role requires at least 5 years of clinical lab experience, ASCP or equivalent preferred, and the ability to train others.

Qualifications

• AS, MLT(ASCP), BS, MT(ASCP) or equivalent preferred.
• 5 years of clinical lab experience in chemistry and/or hematology required.
• ASCP or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routines and complex technical procedures on body fluids using lab equipment.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot instruments; document corrective actions.
• Report tests promptly using LIS/back-up systems and verify results.
• Adhere to quality control policies and calibrations; maintain records.
• Lead technologist in supervisor absence; train new personnel as needed.
• Support correlation studies and evaluation of new instruments/materials.
