Mount Sinai is seeking a Per Diem Medical Office Specialist to provide clinical and medical office support at the North Shore location. You will assist physicians, supervise patient care tasks, and contribute to efficient patient flow and accurate documentation.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to infection control policies, and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification as Medical Assistant from an approved school or two years of experience as a medical assistant.
• Licensed/Credentialed as a Phlebotomist or EKG technician preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsabilités

• Monitor patient flow in waiting room and assist with registration.
• Set up examination room and instruments per policy.
• Take and monitor vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, ECG and other procedures as ordered.
• Assist with procedures under physician supervision.
• Transport patients and equipment as needed.
• Document in medical records per hospital policy.
• Schedule appointments and manage pre-registration and insurance verification.
