Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• MA, EMT, CNA, LNA certificate or diploma or at least 5 months of direct patient care experience in a clinical or research setting.
• Phlebotomy certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical assisting duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and assisting during routine procedures.
• Maintains clean, organized patient care areas and escorts patients to ancillary services.
• Uses electronic medical record system to queue prescription renewals and document tasks for billing.
• Prepares schedules and patient charts for clinical activities; acts as liaison to ensure smooth flow of patients and staff.
