Advocate Health is seeking PRN Medical Assistants for multiple Charlotte-area sites. The role covers rooming patients, vital signs, med reconciliation, history taking, and screenings, with support to providers for procedures and lab tasks.

Strong clinical skills and patient communication are essential. Responsibilities include administering vaccines, processing referrals, scheduling, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform routine and complex technical skills within MA scope.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team.
• Proficient computer skills including Windows navigation and EMR usage.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to MA scope, follows policies, maintains competency.
• Performs rooming/visits: vital signs, med reconciliation, hx, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Collects lab specimens, POCT per orders, process CLIA waivers.
• Administers meds and vaccines per rights of med administration.
• Handles referrals, scheduling, insurance authorizations as needed.
• Cross-trained for other duties within MA scope.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and equipment.
• Demonstrates age-specific care knowledge and communication.
