Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our radiology team. You will follow physicians’ orders, adhere to radiation safety regulations, and ensure high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.

You will verify patient identification, document daily patient logs, operate mammography equipment, obtain essential clinical information, and maintain equipment cleanliness and QA procedures. Position requires Connecticut license and ARRT Mammography certification and ongoing continuing

Qualifications

• Connecticut State License and ARRT Certification with Mammography modality.
• Maintaining superior diagnostic imaging per standardized procedures.
• Continuing education credits and professional licenses required.

Responsibilities

• Mammography Technologist must follow physicians’ orders precisely and conform to regulations concerning radiation safety.
• Verify proper patient identification on the study and route it PACS.
• Maintains a daily log of patients seen.
• Operate the equipment to produce high quality images.
• Obtains essential information from patients, medical records, and previous scans for clinical correlation.
