Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a compassionate Per Diem Mammography Technologist to join our imaging team in Rowley, MA. You will perform screening and diagnostic mammography with patient comfort and safety at the forefront, following clinical protocols and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has ARRT Mammography certification or pending, a Massachusetts Mammography license or ability to obtain within one year, and 2–3 years of experience plus a High School Diploma.

Qualifications

• Preferred: ARRT Mammography Certification (ARRT(M)) or ability to obtain within one year of hire; Massachusetts Mammography License or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• Associate's Degree; 1 year of mammography experience; BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Required: 2-3 years of experience; High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Operate mammography and related imaging equipment safely and effectively.
• Position patients appropriately and utilize immobilization techniques when necessary to obtain optimal images.
• Select appropriate technical factors to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging.
• Evaluate images for technical and diagnostic quality and obtain additional views as needed.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies following infection control and aseptic practices.
• Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and provide reassurance throughout the imaging process.
• Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort while delivering compassionate care.
• Accurately document patient information and examination details in the electronic medical record and imaging systems.
• Maintain compliance with departmental policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
