Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Mammography Technologist to prepare patients, perform mammography exams, and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure. You will operate imaging equipment, select exposure factors based on patient size and density, and document images for radiologist interpretation.

The role may include procedures in related modalities as needed. Required are ARRT certification in Radiology, RTR licensure in Massachusetts, Mammography certification,

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology.
• RTR licensure in Commonwealth Massachusetts.
• Mammography certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Maintaining FDA MQSA CE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exams and ensures comfort and modesty.
• Operates mammographic equipment and sets exposure factors.
• Positions patient and equipment to obtain required projections.
• Maintains patient records and confirms patient identification.
• Performs quality control and cross-trains in related modalities.
• Assists radiologists in specialized imaging as needed.
