Job summary

Melrose Wakefield Hospital is seeking a Mammography Technologist on a Per Diem basis to perform mammography exams in accordance with MQSA and ACR standards at multiple Tufts Medicine locations, including the Melrose Wakefield Breast Center. The role requires an Associate degree in Radiology, ARRT and Mammography certification, and two years of mammography experience.

Shifts are 8 hours with 32 hours per week, Monday–Wednesday and Friday, with availability across locations including Lawrence

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiology required.
• ARRT Mammography Certification required.
• Two years of Mammography experience.
• Radiologic Technologist state license or license eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Willingness to cover multiple locations including Lawrence Memorial Hospital and Reading locations.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform mammography exams and procedures per policy and MQSA/ACR standards.
• Verify patient and procedure to be performed.
• Provide clear and accurate instructions to patients.
• Ensure correct imaging protocol and scanner parameters for each patient.
• Maintain patient and staff safety for equipment used.
• Participate in ongoing education and training.
• Perform quality control on equipment as required.
• Communicate with staff/departments to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain supply stock and request stock as needed.
• Keep work areas clean and functional per regulatory standards.
• May teach students and support new technologists.
