Job summary

RPh on the Go is seeking a Per Diem Staff Pharmacist for a long-term care and mail order setting in Horsham, PA. The role offers a day schedule, Monday to Friday, with 7:00 AM–3:30 PM shifts and every other weekend, on an 8-week contract.

You will apply expertise to ensure safe and effective medication delivery while supporting efficient pharmacy operations and patient care across care settings.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy license and strong dispensing/patient counseling foundation.
• Experience in long-term care and/or mail order pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately accept, dispense, and validate prescription medications
• Monitor patient medication adherence and identify patterns of over-usage
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations regarding medication supply
• Assess appropriateness of prescribed medications based on patient needs
• Maintain confidential patient records and manage pharmacy documentation
• Counsel patients on medication use, potential side effects, and answer questions
• Provide consultations on prescription and OTC medications, including drug interactions and dosage
• Support patient health programs such as smoking cessation, BP monitoring, and cholesterol management
• Educate patients on using medical devices (blood pressure monitors, glucose meters)
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following protocols
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and clerks to maintain operational efficiency
• Manage inventory levels of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to address drug-related problems and optimize patient care
