Job summary

RPh on the Go is seeking a pharmacy technician for LTC and mail order support on a contract-to-hire basis. The role runs 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday–Friday with rotating weekends, starting for about 26 weeks.

You will enter prescription data for reimbursement, prepackage under pharmacist supervision, and assist with final verification and timely delivery. Inventory tasks and compliance are also required.

Qualifications

• Experienced pharmacy technician with background in LTC operations preferred.
• Prior LTC pharmacy exposure is highly beneficial.
• Possession of PA Pharmacy Technician license is a plus.
• Ability to work second shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) with rotating weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; work under pharmacist supervision.

Job description

A pharmacy technician role is available on a contract-to-hire basis supporting long-term care (LTC) and mail order pharmacy operations. This position operates primarily during the 2nd shift (3:00 PM 11:30 PM), Monday through Friday with rotating weekends, for an initial duration of approximately 26 weeks.

Responsibilities include collaborating closely with the Billing Supervisor to accurately enter prescription data for reimbursement processing, and working under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to prepackage medications in compliance with regulatory standards. You will assist with the final verification process of filled prescriptions, preparing medications for pharmacist review, and ensuring timely, accurate delivery to customers. Inventory management support such as receiving, rotating stock, recording lot numbers and expiration dates, and aiding with physical inventory counts is also a key part of the role.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with specific exposure to pharmacy operations strongly preferred
• Prior experience in long-term care (LTC) pharmacy is highly beneficial
• Possession of a Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician License is a plus but not mandatory
• Ability to work second shift hours (3pm - 11:30pm) and flexible availability for rotating weekends
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pharmacist supervision
