Job summary

Kindred Hospital Greensboro is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse Charge Nurse to provide nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role oversees a designated group of nursing staff on a unit and ensures smooth operations per policy and state practice acts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid LPN/LVN license in the state employed.
• BLS Certification.
• ALS Certification preferred.
• IV Certification preferred.
• 2-3 years’ nursing experience.
• One year supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under RN supervision within licensure scope and hospital policy.
• Coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team and document in the EHR.
• Develop work assignments for RNs, LPN/LVNs and aides; supervise, direct, and evaluate staff.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges; participate in care planning and patient education.
• Administer medications per standards and support rehabilitation and treatment plans.
