Job summary

Chapters Health System is seeking a Per Diem LPN to provide nursing interventions under RN supervision, focusing on maximizing patient comfort and quality of life for patients and families. The role requires IV certification, active BLS, and strong communication in English.

Responsibilities include medication administration, dressing changes, venipuncture, and CVL/site observation per plan of care. Flexibility in schedule and willingness to work at different locations are expected.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure in the state of employment.
• IV certification required at time of hire.
• Active BLS for healthcare professionals from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Infusion therapy course completion preferred for inpatient units.
• Must communicate in English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of an RN, provides nursing tasks to patients and families as identified in the care plan.
• Administers medications and manages symptom relief per policy.
• Reports changes in patient condition to RN/physician.
• Performs venipuncture for blood specimens and IV-related duties.
• Completes documentation in the medical record per policy.
• May be required to work at alternate locations during emergencies.
