Job summary

Chapters Health System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing interventions under RN supervision in patient/family care settings. The role emphasizes symptom management, infusion/IV tasks, and documentation in accordance with care plans.

The ideal candidate holds an LPN license in Florida, IV certification, and BLS. A flexible schedule and ability to assist terminally ill patients and families are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent education/experience.
• Current LPN licensure in the state of employment.
• IV certification required at time of hire; renewals as needed.
• Active BLS for healthcare professionals from recognized bodies.
• Flexible schedule to meet patient needs; ability to lift and transfer patients.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; adapt to care settings.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, delivers nursing tasks to patients and families as outlined in care plans.
• Administers medications, manages symptoms, and maintains patient relationships.
• Observes patients for changes; reports findings to the RN or care team.
• Performs venipuncture and IV therapy tasks per policy; documents actions promptly.
• Adheres to safety, privacy, and policy guidelines; participates in QA activities.
